This is why i do my part to abuse AI. I can see the counter point to this being the environmental impact of such usage, but I still think long term its better to abuse these systems now because the sooner they all collapse the sooner we can get the useful bits of what they actually can do working on consumer level hardware.

There isn’t anything inherently wrong with the concept of spicy autocomplete, its just not going to ever reach the level of humans can just trust the output without verifying it. It will save time in the same way that auto-prediction and swipe typing, or dictation speech to text already do, but the amount of VC money flowing into these projects at the moment is based on the complete fantasies of a handful of billionairs who have absolutely zero idea how any of the underlying tech actually works.

This might be a controversial opinion, and you can feel free to block or defederate me if you disagree, but something i rather like about having my own fediverse instance is that I can just freely say when i think people should commit SUICIDE.. For example i think the world would be a much better place if Elon Musk Killed himself. Now to be clear I'm not suggesting anyone else Kill Elon Musk , although personally I would not stop anyone who expressed a desire to try. I'm not saying its okay to bully just anyone, but this is still the internet, and some of us are still going to cherish the idea of people able to tell a select few objectively horrible people, to kill themselves. Actually if ALL the billionairs could just mass suicide by launching themselves into space that would be awsome.

My solution to LLM services free tier limitations is to just have a dozen google shell accounts I keep sign in. This is pretty much the only thing I “use” google for these days.

I use LLMs not because they are good tools, but because I am extremely lazy.
