This is why i do my part to abuse AI. I can see the counter point to this being the environmental impact of such usage, but I still think long term its better to abuse these systems now because the sooner they all collapse the sooner we can get the useful bits of what they actually can do working on consumer level hardware.

There isn’t anything inherently wrong with the concept of spicy autocomplete, its just not going to ever reach the level of humans can just trust the output without verifying it. It will save time in the same way that auto-prediction and swipe typing, or dictation speech to text already do, but the amount of VC money flowing into these projects at the moment is based on the complete fantasies of a handful of billionairs who have absolutely zero idea how any of the underlying tech actually works.
