I’m just thinking, what can we do to make #meta #threads regret even trying to federate? How can we take advantage of this situation from a hacker/activist perspective, but with the ruthlessness of a capitalist. Embrace the federation, extend it by introducing something cool that threads cant do (like ad free content, a better UI, less censorship, etc), and then by the time they realize OH SHIT we better stop federating, enough of their users might be willing to jump ship the next time they get some 30 second unskippable add thrown in their meta feed thats already full of mostly AI slop posting.

Seem like a better strategy then just ignoring them. 🤷
