New PSA from Black Panther Party

I’m planning on attempting to spin off some services using a pretty low end mini-pc and a cable modem. A lot of people are still stuck with only cable as an option and that tends to come with heavily limited upload speeds so my plan is to see what the limits are on a typical 50mbps upload in terms of running services like jellyfin or pleroma. A lot of this stuff is already easily run over Tor so a 50mbps connect should be more then enough for a handful of users.

I love how organic the growth of this project has been so far. I’m not sure how active everyone is but seeing over 100+ users a month, with new sign ups on things regularly is pretty great.

My main goal is to encourage other people to run things at home, and I’m trying to do that in the most slacker friendly way possible.

The thing with Maduro being arrested in his own country and brought to USA to face changes really puts all those sovereign citizen “lawyers” into an interesting position.
