I don’t miss dial up speeds, but I do kinda miss dialing up to connect, not being on 24/7, chat applications where being “offline” meant people just literally could not message you other than email.

Google requires verified accounts to use their AntiGravity software and Gemini Pro stuff, mainly because they’re only interested in giving you a free taste if you might become addicted enough to become a paying customer.

So my trick is to just have a dozen accounts that I rotate between as each one hits usage limits. I started doing it first just with Cursor, and i still use that too, but Anti-gravity gives access to Claude and the usage limits are separate from the limits for Gemini. With all of it combined I have more then enough usage to do whatever i want without paying any of these corps a dime.
